Has anyone used the QUI Bids site? Is it on the up and up or some kind of a scam?

It is supposed to be like eBay except all items are brand new in the box with warranties. The auctions are completed quickly and the prices appear to be really low. It seems too good to be true and the endorsements they claim are well known. I don't know how much shipping would be either.

If it is fraudulent I don't even want to give them my email much less any other information.

Please let me know if you have had good or bad results with this site.

Thank you

I tried it a few years ago. They wanted a credit card number to start; and then I found that they had charged my card well over $100. When I spoke with customer service they said that you have to buy credits first of all. It took me ages to get my money back.

I haven't because even tho' it's not officially a scam, it's pretty darn close. The link below is to a great article that explains these 'penny auction' sites, and the tactics they use, much better than I can:

Like a raffle or lottery, the chances of winning are slim to nothing. Yet people will pay good money to take that chance. Which is EXACTLY what these companies bank on.

I just googled the question, " Is quibids site scam" and got some interesting info you might want to look at before bidding. They don't have the highest customer ratings.
