The liner (like carpet) on the bottom will come out... it should be just set in. Let that puppy air out for at least a week before you put it back. Gasoline is a powerful smell.

You could try shampooing the carpet in the trunk, or using the carpet cleaner at a self serve car wash.
The other alternative is to leave the trunk open (when parked in a secure area) and let it air out

It should dissipate in short time. Gasoline has a very high evaporation rate and I can't imagine the smell lasting too long,
