God understands that belief is hard, especially at first. Everyone had the choice when they were younger...?

that time when they struggled with belief. Yes or no? Take the step, or 'free yourself'. See nothing of God in anything, or hear His voice.

You have the chance every day, though. It can make you uncomfortable to make a change, and for some people it has taken miracles in their face to change their ways.

If you truly are committed to the truth and morals, though, do not doubt that you will eventually be visited by God, again. The glory is knocking. Just, when it happens, don't grit your teeth, be a trooper and fight belief. It's not crazy or hard to jump out, and it won't kill you or break you into pieces.

God loves you.

So, my question is, when was the first time you heard about capital 'G' God? Can you remember that far back? How did you respond? How are you helping the belief in God out, or what are you doing personally to fight against it?

    I stepped out because I loved Jesus so much. I was at a park by chance and a man came over to me and sat down he looked forlorn and his little girl looked to be around 3 yrs old and she was swinging and the playing in the sand. He turned to me and started to sob. His voice trembled as he began to unfold a sin he was having trouble dealing with. He had gotten into child porn and he was so disgusted with himself and the tears ran down his face and he told me he did not think that Jesus would ever forgive him for doing it. He told me he had quit it but felt so guilty.

    I was saved but never had ministered in my life up to that point. I had read prison to praise and believed that God could change things and my faith was grain of mustard seed, and I reached into my purse and got this card out that I carried to encourage myself it was a picture of the Good Shepherd and I said Jesus does forgive us when we repent and He loves you so very much.

    I gave him the card and he looked at it as he continued to cry tears running down his face like a faucet. He thanked me and he got up and walked slowly away and put the card in his pocket. I never saw him again but I knew this chance meeting was a divine appt. with this man for God.

    I was so encouraged and felt good about myself.

    That was the beginning of God using me and it felt so right.

    Just one of many events in my life obeying the voice of the Lord to help someone.

    I did not struggle with belief. I stopped believing in mythical characters, like God, when I learned the truth about them. It was actually easy since I value truth more than I value beliefs.

    The first time I heard about the Christian god, God, was about 57 years ago.

    I am fighting against the belief in all mythical characters, not just the God character.

    Children are not generally given a choice what religion to follow. They are made to follow the religion of their parents and generally follow that belief as they grow, not because it is the truth but because they naturally trust their parents. If kids are not exposed to religion until they are grown and educated they will probably almost never follow a religion because of the sheer improbability of the notion and the lack of evidence to any of the claims.

    'Everyone had the choice when they were younger...?'

    My parents sent me to a Christian school. I was suffocated by Christian teachings; I had no choice.

    But as a grew older, I realised the truth. There are far too many contradictions when it comes to God; he can't possibly exist. I used to think that all the good things happening to me were because of God, but then I realised that they were just coincidences. :)

    Everyone had the choice when they were younger...?

    ~~~ Absolute crap!
    There is no choice whatsoever!
    The belief in free-will/choice is the literal manifestation of the sin of Pride!
    It says, essentially; "Let MY Will B Done! Now! Abracadabra in Jesus' name... NOW!... Ah-man!"
    Yeah, 'choice'! What a load of blind ignorant insanity/sin!
    Xtian?
    Hahahaha!
    Belief, aka faith, is not a virtue. It's just plain stupid to believe in something that's both ridiculous and without evidence.
    "God loves you."
    Wishful thinking.
    No evidence.
    And it's ridiculous.
