Could someone explain these commonalities I've found with R&S atheists?
This includes a select few wiccans, buddhists, taoists, and pagans who answer frequently...
Your usernames are either demonic, mocking, or magical.
Your user icons are weird, dark, or just evil.
Your profiles are ALL set to private.
Why do you all have these things in common? Why do I immediately know that you aren't a Christian by just your user picture?
16 AnswersReligion & Spirituality6 years agoWill either side ever be satisfied with the fight?
Concerning the war between believers and non-believers, do you think your words are going to change another person? Will intellectual debate solve personal problems? Can you go back in time with your words and change someone's decision to believe or not?
I think we need some perspective. All of us are helpless in the face of reality, and we all have people we love and need. That includes God for many. Why make it more complicated than it has to be, at least in this place?
To atheists: If you just accepted that some people believe, why does it seem to me like you are tirelessly searching?
To Christians: You know atheists in your lives. You know people who simply need guidance. You know people with whom you can make bonds of love. You know people you can teach God's way. Unless you are having a personal connection with the people on here, why are you here? I am thinking you likely have better things to do.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhere is love in your life, believers and unbelievers? In what places do you find hope, trust and fulfillment?
The Holy Spirit of God seeks you out through this medium.
17 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhen was the last time God turned His face from you?
How long did it last? What was going on when He did it? When did He bless you with His presence again? Did it do anything good for you in retrospect?
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoCan you not understand that, if you are supposing the God 'theory'..?
That you have to assume a set of circumstances, including the fact that He is almighty and righteous?
If this God is righteous, then why would you not agree with everything He does and praise Him?
:)
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy are atheists so insecure?
Are you afraid that no one cares for your life, that you are just a blip in time?
That's not how it is.
28 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWhy continue to lie to yourselves, atheists?
Is bondage to sin REALLY better than the truth?
As a person of experience (and I'm no liar, even though you, as a liar, cannot believe that), I can tell you that God IS good, God IS loving, God WILL redeem you, God CAN and WILL exalt you (if you walk with Him), and God IS almighty.
I will not accept people feeling sympathy for those who want to chase other gods.
I will not accept when you blind yourself repeatedly.
I CAN accept that you find the old ways (your rebellion against God) more profitable than the old ones, seeing as how you have not experienced God as I have.
Hope you guys were ready for this question.
20 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAtheists, I believe that some of you are 'good' people, as in you prefer morality over immorality...?
Could you trust yourself with power like this if you found out God was real and you understood Him?
Matthew 21:18-19
18 Early in the morning, as Jesus was on his way back to the city, he was hungry. 19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he went up to it but found nothing on it except leaves. Then he said to it, “May you never bear fruit again!” Immediately the tree withered.
13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoCould Dev answer my details from the previous question, since he won't receive emails?
It'd be nice. Conversation is useful.
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoSo, atheists and alot of people who follow...religions...hate Christians.?
Why did Jesus know this would happen?
21"Brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death. 22"You will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.
Christians are the most hated of all faiths - Jews were persecuted for a time, but that is coming to an end. Christians have been persecuted since the believers were born, and the hatred is everywhere.
I have heard of people suddenly hating someone else because they heard he was a Christian.
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoThis seems to be a very applicable quote about some sinners I know. What do you think?
“The liar's punishment is, not in the least that he is not believed, but that he cannot believe anyone else.”
Would any of you atheists know about this?
14 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoGod understands that belief is hard, especially at first. Everyone had the choice when they were younger...?
that time when they struggled with belief. Yes or no? Take the step, or 'free yourself'. See nothing of God in anything, or hear His voice.
You have the chance every day, though. It can make you uncomfortable to make a change, and for some people it has taken miracles in their face to change their ways.
If you truly are committed to the truth and morals, though, do not doubt that you will eventually be visited by God, again. The glory is knocking. Just, when it happens, don't grit your teeth, be a trooper and fight belief. It's not crazy or hard to jump out, and it won't kill you or break you into pieces.
God loves you.
So, my question is, when was the first time you heard about capital 'G' God? Can you remember that far back? How did you respond? How are you helping the belief in God out, or what are you doing personally to fight against it?
Answers from believers and non-believers accepted with equality.
7 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoAre you a loving person?
If you were psychic and you knew what someone was like, their personality, their history, their morality, their look on life, etc., and it was all not a problem to you...
and they reached out and showed they love you, would you reciprocate that love?
You cannot go about life and find your destiny or the truth in the deep if you are a bitter, withdrawn person held by the pain of your past.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoHow did the writers of the Torah know about hydrothermal vents if they were just normal men?
Job 38:16 Hast thou entered into the springs of the sea? or hast thou walked in the search of the depth?
Read Job 38-41 and tell me what you think. Did all of these men know such things so intimately?
8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDoes anyone think that Melchizedek was the Logos before He was born in the flesh?
In Hebrews 7:1-3, Melchizedek's name means king of righteousness, and he was the king of Salem, which means peace; Jesus was also the King of Peace.
Melchizedek also had no lineage, it was said, which was against the norm for priests who had to have a genealogy. He was not recorded in the births and deaths of the patriarchs, which were normally carefully recorded, and his genealogy was not spoken of, unlike the Levitical priests.
It stated he was like the Son of God, which was also stated of who appeared in the fire with Shadrach, Meshac, and Abednego.
Nebuchadnezzer said in Daniel 3:25: ...and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Jesus was stated in Hebrews to be a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, who blessed Abraham (therefore he was greater than Abraham). So was Melchizedek the Son before the Son was born, like the man in the fire?
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoTo all those who suppress the truth in unrighteousness...such as Naranthal and others...?
Do you know that there is a hope that you can't see, that there is something you can reach for, something stronger and more fulfilling than your sin that you choose not to acknowledge (and fight against), and that the God of Abraham can show you love and a better life?
9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoWas the Son of God, the Jewish carpenter, a good man, insane, or a liar?
Pick from the three or just don't answer (ie if you think He didn't exist).
15 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoNon-Christians, when you say you live happy, maybe because of love of/from others, does Jesus understand this?
37"He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. 38"And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. 39"HE WHO HAS FOUND HIS LIFE will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it.
I think my Father knew you before you arrived.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoIs the phrase "What is sin?" really just more of a universal attitude than a relevant question?
Is it your willingness to not care what your sins are, or what they do to you?
This seems to be a recurring phenomenon with atheists (without God).
Some just live their life without a second thought, dead inside.
Then some intentionally turn back toward the truth that the God of Abraham has given them and fight against it.
Romans 1:18
The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, WHO SUPPRESS THE TRUTH BY THEIR WICKEDNESS,
So, my further questioning is:
Is it the biggest lack of wisdom to not look ahead to what your fate after death is going to be?
Is sin really that good for you that you won't turn away from it?
Why don't you try the peace that the Lord has offered you? It is so much better than acting like there was no problem from the beginning, or LYING TO YOURSELF. Or the rest of the world.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality8 years agoDoes pure logic, rationality and only trusting what is in front of your face cause a form of stupidity?
Or is it just an idol?
Maybe both?
