Could someone explain these commonalities I've found with R&S atheists?

This includes a select few wiccans, buddhists, taoists, and pagans who answer frequently...

Your usernames are either demonic, mocking, or magical.

Your user icons are weird, dark, or just evil.

Your profiles are ALL set to private.

Why do you all have these things in common? Why do I immediately know that you aren't a Christian by just your user picture?

My name is not demonic, mocking or magical, in any way. It is, in fact, my actual name. This icon is an actual picture of a relative of mine with the same name from 100 years ago, when the christians were (just like today) saying that the world was just about to end.

You know what I've noticed? Every trumped up bigoted fundie or deluded JW culty has a bible quote or preachy phrase or PREACHY WORD as their user name. THAT'S what I've noticed, "SACRIFICE!"

Edit: Mine is set to private because in times past I was constantly attacked by JW's who reported every single answer I made, even ones in "Pets" and "cooking" and "Car Repair." The dupes at Yahoo! don't even bother checking on the merit of the spam complaints, they just delete ANY answer that gets reported.

My avatar is supposed to look like me om a good day. My user name combines the name of a movie character my late fiancee liked an d the age I was when I opened this, I keep myself private to avoid weirdos. So what do I have in common with other atheists ? Of course, atheists aren;t Christian, silly.

Yes, my turkey hat is the epitome of evil... you caught me.

I believe 'Mackenzie' translates to 'Queen of Darkness' or something.

You are so silly... you see what you want to see and ignore what you doesn't reinforce your stereotypes.

    Source(s): Wiccan R&S frequenter.

Why confine this to atheists? If you look at many of the regulars in here it could be applied to a great many of them.

My own username is more than 20 years old, starting life when I ran a fan site for the game Crimson Skies.... The "liar" bit because it took the form of an "art nouveau" news paper, and probably showed my contempt for newspapers. So as the editor I just had to be "Liar"!

You were wrong on every single count.

    Speaking for myself of course.

As for your last question...if you can't explain your own magical powers, how could we explain them?

Seriously? My icon is dark or evil?

You're imagining things. The overwhelming majority of icons and user names are either neutral or indicating the religious identification of the user. You have an overactive imagination.

I'm a little anime girly with hearts and sparklies floating around her head! My name is a play on the word "invisible". You know, like your gods.

Your icon is a pagan celtic symbol, and your name pays homage to cruel, ancient blood-letting rituals.

    Which one is worse, hmmm?

    I'm just an average dude.

because the internet is for practicing and expressing one's weirdness, mocking abilities, etc. i don't think this leads to any useful conclusion. i will accept that my user icon is weird though.

    My name is my name.

The profile pic is a fairly accurate representation; the background, I thought, looked cooler than the beach.

    My profile's not private.
