According to Christianity when you die do you go?

If you don't go to heaven and you don't go to the lake of fire, where would you go? The Bible says nothing about a third alternative. Heaven was made for believers. The lake of fire was made for the devil and his angels. If you don't choose God you choose the devil by default.

You can't be destroyed the way atheists think. The bible makes it clear we are spirit beings living in physical bodies. The physical body may die but the spirit is eternal. So the spirit can't cease to exist.

The Bible is very black and white. Loopholes, fine print and the like wouldn't be fair to everyone. We have to know beyond any doubt what to expect from our choices. And God must tell us the consequences of those choices in no uncertain terms. Otherwise how could God claim to be just?

God doesn't care how devout you are because we're all sinners. So no one can be devout enough to please Him. We can't save ourselves by being good. Jesus paid the penalty for our sins so we don't have to. What God wants us to do is believe that and accept the pardon He provided for us.

The quote you gave is the same dangerous lie that Satan gave Adam and Eve --- that you are basically your own god. Truth is not relative nor is there more than one truth. The one truth is the God of the Bible and it is the only path. Satan wants you to believe there are other or many ways, but they are lies that lead to death (there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death, Proverbs 14:12).

The dead sleep and they either wake (are resurrected) at the Lord Jesus' return (1st resurrection) or at the Great White Throne Judgment of Revelation 20 (those judged favorably are the 2nd resurrection; those who are not are destroyed in the lake of fire).

And do not believe for one instant that being destroyed like the atheists believe is good. If you truly love someone (God or other), you will want to see and be with that person forever. Atheists do not believe and other religions are a lie, so you cannot believe anything they say, because there is no light or truth in them.

There is the many mansions scripture in the New Testament. And Paul's comment of "such a one caught up to the 7th heaven" so it appears heaven and hell is an over simplification. Possibly all Churches disagree, but my hypothesis is God will put me where I will be most comfortable, but those we are with need to be comfortable with me so I better be nice. That will be a disappointment as we will know that others prepared their attitudes and desires to be joint heirs with God and Christ.

You cannot believe one thing of one religion and yet want to partake of another. Really. It's religion 101. If you aren't satisfied with this part of Christianity, your problem isn't with the belief system, it's with God. It's the mindset of "Why would a loving God do..." fill in the blank. God doesn't send anyone to Hell. If we choose to live a lifestyle for ourselves - for our own pleasures and our own good - denying the opportunity that God hands us, then we deserve our share of Hell. If we serve ourselves, we serve the god of Self, which is Satan. Satan is all about serving yourself. If you choose to serve yourself, you're choosing to serve Satan, which is truth. If we choose to live for ourselves, denying Christ is what we're doing, and if you die - living this life - you will end up where Satan's followers end up. It doesn't matter what you believe about God, in the end. You cannot change the Bible and change God. You can only change yourself. Just know that He has a great plan for you and He desires your heart, but He won't force you.

I am a confessional Lutheran. I think you have to be careful in trying to know the mind of God. We are children listening to our Fathers word when we hear/read the Bible. Be careful not to go further then God wants you to go by manufacturing answers. The Bible says we need Christ and that is where we need to stop.

I do understand what you are saying and for those who have been brought up in a different faith, I trust that the God will use His divine wisdom (which is far greater that ours) in judging them. Understanding that God is not bound to what He binds us. Again we have to be careful here. Could God who creates faith use something different to save someone else? I don't see why not, but I trust in Jesus and believe that no one gets to the Father but through Him. There is no salvation outside of Christ.

I belive u can go to heven as long as u love the love with all your heart and put no other person befor him for example if some one told u beliving in god is against the law if u still willing to believe in him and his teaching and your fath is on wavering meaning no matter what somebody says or do to you you still belive i belive u will go to heven

Heaven, Hell, or Purgatory. No one automatically goes to hell. People choose to go to hell. All you have to do is to be a good person.
