I am pursuing a Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science specific in gerontology?

What can I do with this degree? I want to work at a VA hospital however I would not know what position to apply for. Does anyone work with the elderly in a good position that can direct me. I also love animals. I was in the pre-veterinary program but I had no choice to drop out due to financial issues. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

There is a large group of aging Vietnam Veterans. Some are hospitalized at VA hospitals. I'm sure there are social work positions available. I suggest that you go to the VA website and look up positions available to see what the educational requirements are. One common one is a MSW--Masters Degree in Social Work. I don't know how a degree in gerontology would fit in there but I am sure you will need a Masters Degree at least.

Many states have homes for aged veterans and you may want to check out some state websites to see what they have to offer and how it would fit your gerontology program. I suspect that a Masters there would also be important but I don't really know.
