My mom was diagnosed with colon cancer last month and just a week ago they have determined it is stage four. Her liver is fine and so are her lungs and every organ in her body. They have determined it is stage four because of lymph nodes near her lungs and abdominal are "Active". She is super healthy everyone has said so, they are so surprised at how healthy she is despite her cancer. When we told the doctors we were going to seek a second opinion they were not happy about it. But we are taking her out the hospital and hoping sloan kettering will take her and perform surgery to remove the mass in her colon and the chemo can treat whats left. Has anyone gone throught this? Help please

What can I do with this degree? I want to work at a VA hospital however I would not know what position to apply for. Does anyone work with the elderly in a good position that can direct me. I also love animals. I was in the pre-veterinary program but I had no choice to drop out due to financial issues. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you

I am 26 and I am currently in college pursuing a degree in veterinary science. I hate it. I love animals but I am not so good in the science department and I have been failing some courses. I feel as though this is my last straw, alot of my friends are working in their respective careers and doing fine. Whereas I am home living with my parents and I cant help them the way I want to. I feel awful because I am 25 and still do not know what I want to do with myself. My sisters are all professionals (Speech Pathologist and Occupational Therapist) and my brother enrolled in the Marines. So its just me and I feel like a loser. I was going to join the military myself but have to drop some weight off. I feel like I cannot stick to something because it doesnt captivate me. I wanted to be a vet tech but found out how much they get paid and the awful treatment they recieve from vets ( I do not want to be a veterinarian). I thought about opening an online pet store but do not know where to start.I just feel like a loser :(
