What is the purpose of the “administration” that Paul mentioned at Ephesians 1:9, 10?

I am one of Jehovah's witnesses so all my questions are directed to non JW.

The KJV uses the term dispensation and this is the definition of that word:

    dis•pen•sa•tion (ˌdɪs pənˈseɪ ʃən, -pɛn-)

    n.

    1. an act or instance of dispensing; distribution.

    2. something that is distributed or given out.

    3. a certain order, system, or arrangement; administration or management.

Jehovah’s glorious purpose is to bring about a united universe occupied by creatures who lovingly submit to his sovereignty. (Revelation 4:11) His name would thus be sanctified, Satan proved a liar, and the divine will accomplished “as in heaven, also upon earth.”—Matthew 6:10.

8 Jehovah’s “good pleasure,” or purpose, would be fulfilled by means of “an administration.” Paul used a word that literally means “household management.” It refers, not to a government, such as the Messianic Kingdom, but to a way of managing things.* The wonderful way in which Jehovah would administer things to accomplish his purpose involved a “sacred secret” that would progressively be made known over the centuries.—Ephesians 1:10; 3:9

Moses told the Israelites: “Jehovah our God is one Jehovah.” (Deut. 6:4) Jehovah’s actions and purpose are harmonious. Thus, “at the full limit of the appointed times,” God put into operation “an administration”—that is, an arrangement for unifying all his intelligent creatures. (Read Ephesians 1:8-10.) This administration will carry out its objective in two stages. The first stage prepares the congregation of anointed ones for life in heaven under Jesus Christ as their spiritual Head. This stage began at Pentecost 33 C.E. when Jehovah started to gather those who would rule with Christ in heaven. (Acts 2:1-4) Since the anointed have been declared righteous for life on the basis of Christ’s ransom sacrifice, they readily acknowledge that they have been adopted as “God’s children.”—Rom. 3:23, 24; 5:1; 8:15-17.

The second stage prepares those who will dwell in Paradise on earth under Christ’s Messianic Kingdom. The “great crowd” make up the initial part of this group. (Rev. 7:9, 13-17; 21:1-5) During the Thousand Year Reign, they will be joined by billions of resurrected ones. (Rev. 20:12, 13) Imagine how the resurrection will further demonstrate our unity! At the end of the thousand years, the “things on the earth” will be subjected to a final test. Those proving faithful will be adopted as earthly “children of God.”—Rom. 8:21; Rev. 20:7, 8.

Both stages of God’s administration are developing today—heavenly and earthly.

@oli- Which KJV since it has gone under many revisions itself? I guess I shouldn't trust it since it adds to the Bible in numerous places, something the Bible condemns.

7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace

8 which He lavished on us.

In all wisdom and insight 9 He made known to us the mystery of His will,

according to His kind intention which He purposed in Him

10 with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times,

that is, the summing up of all things in Christ,

things in the heavens and things on the earth.

In Him 11 also we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will,

12 to the end that we who were the first to hope in Christ would be to the praise of His glory.

The view is forward to the future when all things in heaven and earth are "summed up" to the honor and glory of Jesus the Christ. The view to the "administration suitable to the fullness of times" refers to that eternal rule intended by God's will for His Christ to administer, as stated elsewhere in scripture, eg Isaiah 9: 6 (the government shall be on His shoulders) or the announcement to Mary that her Son would reign forever.

King of Kings, Hallelujah, Hallelujah and Lord of Lords,Hallelujah, Hallelujah

And He shall reign for ever and ever....

    Ephesians 1

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

2 Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

6 To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

    7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

    8 Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.

Jesus did not know about the mystery mentioned in verse 9 and explained in verse 10. The word "oikonomia", Gr. household, is translated dispensation in KJV and the current translation would be administration, a noun, as in the American reference to a president's administration. All presidents run the same country, but things under one president are not exactly the same as things under another president. Likewise, God divides His dealings with His people into administrations. In the garden, things were quite simple: God chatted with Adam as they strolled around. After that, God could only speak to His people through seers. God's manner with Abraham was not the same as His manner with other prophets. Things were different when Jesus walked the Earth, and different again after Pentecost. And so on. Different administrations.

That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth, even in him (One day all in Christ both in Heaven and on earth will lived with Jesus and God in heaven at the fullness of times or God s time)

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself

(This is the purpose of God that all belong to Christ but who is really righteous will gather together in heaven)

It says nothing about an administration in those versus maybe you meant something else?

The atheists above me have been saying the same thing since this forum began they don't have any new material. They get old fast.

I only have a KJV Bible not the Bible Jehovah Witnesses changed, and now claim as the correct version. The word "administration" is not to be found in my Holy Bible.
