Will Propalin be any good for untrained ***** who pees in house?
I am fostering a female dog and wondered if Propalin would be any good at all if she is just not house trained. She doesn't leak at all at night
She doesn't leak but pees a puddle. Especially when excited or anxious
Sapien Sorry but I can't take information from your answer as I can't check to see your level of experience as you have your questions and answers hidden
It IS under the guidance of the shelter that I would give Propalin. I am asking for others experiences as I want to know if there is any way it could help this dog. I have used it before on a dog that was leaking and it did work but she got side effects so I want to be sure before I even try. Yes this dog has had a very hard life before but I am trying to give her a chance and that's commendable. I don't want to 'give her back' to the shelter as she will just go back to a kennel again. I am to old to be bothered by ego run replies like yours but some others aren't. So think before condemning

As far as I know this is used for a dog with incontinence, best I can tell you is to keep her in your sight and start the potty training. This is coming from one "old" person who wants to say "thanks" for giving her a home.

The dog you are fostering has had a rough life, and is rightfully anxious. You cope with this with training. Not self-drugging her. You will have to undergo the process of house breaking, and encouraging calm behaviour while discouraging anxiety. If you do not know how, or don't want to bother doing this, please return the dog to the shelter. If you feel that she has a URI or otherwise, she needs to be seen by a vet first for proper diagnosis.
Edit: All I'm saying is self-administrating a drug to a dog that has not been diagnosed by a vet is not a good idea. Have her see a vet, and let them prescribe anything, if anything at all is needed.

That medication is only used for dogs with incontinence problems and from what you describe it sounds like this is more a case of an untrained dog as well as a dog with a confidence problem.
Double check the usage of that drug by going to www.google.com and typing in the medication.
