Basically, I have a great concept for a restaurant/bar.?

Basically, I have a great concept for a restaurant/bar. The idea has been brewing with me for a while. I'm seeing similar ideas pop up around the country and figure now is a good time to be part of this boom while the going is good. I mainly need to get advice or maybe find an investor who would be willing to hear out my ideas and be ready to make some money with me

If you want advice, go to Service Corps Of Retired Executives (SCORE). It's free, and it's good.

You won't get any investors unless you can offer them something more than dreams and empty promises. Do you have any bar or restaurant management experience? Do you have any assets that you're willing to put up as collateral? Sometimes, friends and family members will invest in someone who has no experience and no collateral, and usually they lose the entire investment.

Great concepts are easy to come by. Implementing those concepts is another thing entirely. Dreaming up a concept takes imagination, but implementing it will take time and dedication.

If you don't have at least 10 years in the restaurant business including management, there is no chance you will either get investors or succeed if you do open up. As the other said, ideas are a dime a dozen.

Do a business plan and cash flow. Will be surprised how many strengths and weakness will show. Then go chat to a bank.
