I don't think a movie that can scare the hell out of someone has even been created yet.

I've recently watched Haunter and The Conjuring but they're pretty lame

Sinister. A true-crime writer finds a cache of 8mm home movies films that suggest the murder he is currently researching is the work of a serial killer whose career dates back to the 1960s.

This a ghost/demon/satanist movie. It has mystery, a semi-attractive man, and creepy old footage.

There are two parts where I screamed, the rest I was just seriously freaked out.

Orphan or it may be called The Orphan. It was made in the 2000's.
