What are good ways of lightening hair quickly without bleaching?
I've tried to bleach my hair before and I didn't like doing that as it made my hair the consistency of doll's hair. I am however wanting to color it a vibrant reddish color before my fiance' gets home on the 5th from visiting family but I need my hair to at the very least lighten up a little cause I'm very dark headed. I was thinking maybe putting in a little bit of bleach in my shampoo bottle and seeing what would happen but if anyone has a better idea I would appreciate it.
On a side not though I don't have much money to be freely spending.... so the cheaper the idea the better

put lemon juice on your hair and stay in the sun for 30 minutes

Hey What u could do is use dawn dish soap, keep it in ur hair for 10-15 minutes it will lighten it a lot I've used it for a week and my hair is way lighter but use a deep condition on ur hair after using the dawn.
