Transferring schools while in the USMC reserve?

If you move across state to a different college while in the USMC reserve, will you be able to move across state in your unit? It seems like it would be foolish for a marine to travel multiple hours(as in 10-20) a weekend just to get to drill.

You just need to look for the nearest Reserve Unit to your new school of choice. If there isn't one, you will have to commute to the nearest one...even if that means an extended drive to and from weekend drill.

one has nothing to do with the other. the unit is under no obligation to release you and no other unit is under obligation to accept your request to transfer to them.

if you choose to change schools then all expenses incurred will be yours to bear. the military does not expect you to move units unless THEY tell you to move units.
