Since it was a Catholic priest who proposed the Big Bang?
Why do so many Christians have trouble considering it?
@1729 work that one out
Lemaitre proposed the 'hypothesis of the primeval atom', which was later to be known as the Big Bang.
@SuperMadMax
Exactly. The Big Bang doesn't talk about creation. It only talks about expansion. Why do Christians still have trouble with it?
@Old Timer Too
The astronomers and physicists at least consider it before rejecting its validity.

Hello,
1) Many Chrisitians have no problem with this and other theories of evolution. Its always the American fundies who get all the attention about their objections to this sort of stuff. Very few Christians in the rest of North and South America let alone Europe and Asia are denouncing this.
2) 1729 - Numerous articles say Lemaitre is the father of the big bang theory. People saying this here just didn't dream it up. They say Georges Lemaitre proposed a 'hypothesis of the primeval atom' that became known as the Big Bang Theory when Fred Hoyle coined the term during a 1949 radio broadcast. The Big Bang Theory generally refers to idea that the Universe began to expand about 13.7 billion years ago and continues to expand now.

The ORDER of creation by the Big Bang is the OPPOSITE of what God's Word describes.
I believe in the Big Bang, BUT IT HASN'T HAPPENED YET....Read 2 Peter 3:10

Because the Catholic priest was not a Christian! He had never received Salvation and had never received the Indwelling of the Holy Spirit!
He was a fool for rejecting the Truths from God!

Hey, what can a person say? The term "big bang" was coined by British Astronomer Fred Hoyle -- as a joke! He didn't think much of it.
And, as far as that goes, it falls into the realm of theoretical science, having no direct observable evidence (that such an event can take place or did take place) to establish it as FACT.
A significant number of astronomers and physicists have trouble considering the "big bang" as valid.

Catholics mainly do accept it, for obvious reasons. It is mainly Protestants who reject the idea, which would stand to reason, since they reject a lot of our ideas.

Because science has trouble accepting it. Check out these videos and you'll understand.

Many dont many do, a big bang does not prove there was not creator. How can something come form nothing;
