I am a born again believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. But more importantly, what about you? What do you believe? Where will you spend eternity? Do you believe that you will go to heaven because you are a "good person"? Or because you have tipped the scales by doing more good than bad? It does not matter whether we think that we are a "good person" because we will be judged by God‘s standard, not ours. Have you ever stolen anything? If so, then you are a thief. Have you ever lusted after another person? If so, then you are an adulterer. Have you ever hated someone? The Bible says anyone who has hated their brother is a murderer. We are all condemned because of our sin, but Jesus Christ died to take away the sins of the world. I urge you, today, to get right with the Lord. Humble your heart, confess and repent (turn away) of your sins, ask Jesus to be the Lord and Savior of your life, then walk in the Spirit, obey, serve & bear fruit.

By whose standards? Yours, Society's, the World's, God's? So you may be a good person because you have lower standards then your friend? Does it make sense that we should be judged by whatever standards that we "feel" may be appropriate?

With all do respect to my Catholic brethren, who believe in Jesus Christ and follow Him in their daily lives……. why do you call your priests “Father” when Jesus said don’t call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven? I believe Jesus is talking here about our “spiritual father” and not our “fleshly fathers”. Isn’t the “Pope” also referred to as the “Holy Father”?
Please correct me if I am misunderstanding this passage!
