Has football tilted too much in favor of the offense?

ALL of the rule changes for the last 20 years, or so, have benefited the offense.

I know the NFL wants plenty of scoring (to attract new fans and make the people playing fantasy football happy), but has the advantage gone over to the offense too much?

I'm dating myself, but the game was MUCH more interesting to watch back in the 1960s and 70s when the defenses were allowed to compete with the offenses.

Has today's football become basketball on grass?

Scoring is in my friend. A lot of sports are catering to the new generation who loves scoring.

The NHL is the same way. Never seen so may team score 6 plus goals in game in my life over the past few seasons. A goalie has to be incredible to get a shutout these days.

Amen! It's gone to a NBA mentality, not to mention the fact that the games are scrpited much like the WWE
