If one is thankful as others suffer terribly, what does this say about one's character?

If we are talking about material opulence or--as in the case of Hitler--the ability to oppress others, that says simply that the person's character is that of the most baneful hubris.

Of course the Puritans, on whom our Thanksgiving tradition is based, fall well within the latter category, as they exacted horrible oppressive acts like pressing people to death for "witchcraft" etc, etc.

We all kinda, sorta got what kind of character Hitler was.

Yet your question seems to want to imply that anyone who has ever prayed and given thanks the Almighty, is like him.

It also seems to imply that you believe Hitler when he claimed to be something that he was not. You could ponder the possibility that he was a liar, and see if it all makes sense now.

thus Believe you will come back to be perfected. and must pay your dues to what you

have done in this world previously

Judaism believes in Reincarnation too

That person who enjoy as others suffer is a monster . In my opinion

That person will sow what they reap

I can be thankful for the love from my family, and not have that be determined if someone else is miserable.
