Timeline of metal heaviness progression? (basically a metal timeline)?
I know a decent amount about the evolution of metal but I want everyone to make up their list of chronologically ordered songs that outlines the birth of heavier rock music and the evolution of the heaviness and 'metalness' of metal. I want to get the full picture of metal evolution from its roots as distorted blues rock to its final form as extreme metal.
