Should I get a job or go to university?
Ok here's the deal.
I'm currently studying aircraft engineering at college.
I am sick to death of sitting in classrooms learning, I've done it for 15 years of my life. I know some people dont mind the idea of going to university. But it makes me very nervous.
I'm not sure I have enough studying left in me to finish a degree, plus i have 0 confidence that I could do it. Which would mean I could just be left with lotssss of debt. and nothing to show for it.
My question is, do I really need to go to university to do well in engineering?
I'm not talking about owning my own private airline company or anything crazy, earning over £100k. I just want to make enough money to be very comfortable and happy with my life.
Would an apprenticeship be the way to go?

You will have the time of your life at Uni and as long a as you actually do the work and not spend the whole time in the pub, you'll get the degree. Graduates earn much more than non grads. Trust me, if I had completed my degree I would currently be doing less work and getting about three times more money! Especially in engineering

If you want a career that's related to engineering you need the degree. Apprenticeships are far and few between these days and they don't get you very far.
