  • How is Algae Bio Fuel Made?

I know how the algae is grown and extracted and where the oil comes from. But once the oil has been extracted from the algae, what happens next to produce a fuel?

  • How to drain some oil from car?

I put too much oil in my car, and it's about 1cm above the max level on the dipstick, so i figured better safe than sorry.

What is the easiest and cleanest way to drain a little bit of oil?

Can i just give the drain plug a little turn? without it fully coming unscrewed?

  • HELP!! I put too much oil in my car!!?

So I put too much oil in my car. It's an 03 renault clio

I'd estimate i put about 300ml too much in

The oil level is about 3-4 ml above max on the dipstick.

After i changed the oil, i parked up and it made a strange sound when pulling away so i immediately turned the engine off.

what will happen if i don't drain it? is that amount extra dangerous?

do i need to take some back out?

  • Why can't I scream?

I recently heard that just screaming once in a while is pretty healthy for you in that it really relaxes you and frees your body of stress.

So in an attempt to see what all the fuss was about I tried to scream.

I should first say that i'm a very quiet person and have never really shouted or screamed at people.

I was well aware nobody was home, nobody was near, so I couldn't embarrass myself.

So anyway, I tried to scream a few times, when I came to the conclusion I can't scream.

For some reason I just couldn't scream, nothing would come out. I did a pretty loud 'moan/groan', but I still had so much more to let out - yet I just couldn't.

    why is this?

  • Should I do a foundation degree?

I'm not entirely sure i could do a full degree in aircraft engineering. (or that i want to)

So i thought, If i do a foundation degree, then I will also get the chance to take my A license test which would allow me to work on aircraft, giving me better initial employment prospects. This license would usually cost several thousand pound i think.

However, if i decide I don't want a job, Could i always just do a 'top up' year to turn my foundation degree into a proper degree?

  • Guitar effects - digital multi FX v single pedals?

I've currently got a zoom g3 which i use for all effects. But i've heard alot of people complain that digtal overdrives and distortions simply are nowhere near as good as single pedals.

Would I be better off getting a stand alone overdrive pedal, but keeping the zoom g3 for reverb and delay effects.

For example. A digitech bad monkey overdrive (similar to tubescreamer - gets very good reviews)

Would the difference in sound be great?

  • Should I get a job or go to university?

    Ok here's the deal.

I'm currently studying aircraft engineering at college.

I am sick to death of sitting in classrooms learning, I've done it for 15 years of my life. I know some people dont mind the idea of going to university. But it makes me very nervous.

I'm not sure I have enough studying left in me to finish a degree, plus i have 0 confidence that I could do it. Which would mean I could just be left with lotssss of debt. and nothing to show for it.

My question is, do I really need to go to university to do well in engineering?

I'm not talking about owning my own private airline company or anything crazy, earning over £100k. I just want to make enough money to be very comfortable and happy with my life.

Would an apprenticeship be the way to go?

  • Do you ever think about killing yourself?

Not that i've ever truely considered it...

But I quite often find myself thinking about killing myself. like shooting myself, or driving into oncoming traffic.

    Is this normal?

  • If money was no object - What job would you have?

Just a little question. Imagine there's no such thing as degrees, going to college. There's no such thing as entry requirements, pensions, salary, bonus.

Every job requires no qualification and pays the same amount.

You would work somewhere, because that's where you're truly happy to work (not working is no option)

    What job would you want?

I'll get this started, I think i'd like to do something involving music or film. Maybe own a guitar store or a record shop just working with some real good buddies who enjoy the same stuff every day.
