Hopefully, it will never be legalised. When people have a crafty spiff and then get behind the wheel of a car stoned on the stuff it causes accidents. At the moment, there is no way the police can tell if you're smoking the stuff, unlike the relentless hate campaign and persecution against drinkers I every situation - whether working socially or whatever, stoners are left alone, and that's wrong - THAT'S discrimination. Marijuana should keep it illegal.

Eventually.
It will take other countries to do it first before we follow the trend.
@Tin-God: What "backlash"?
@Jimbo: If you went "mad" enough to get sectioned under the Mental Health Act for five months I strongly suspect there was far more to it than the cannabis, such as genetics/family history of mental illness and other factors such as stress, lack of sleep, etc? I hope you stay away from it as clearly you're one of those people that shouldn't smoke it, just like certain people should not drink alcohol.
I've been smoking it for six years, sometimes a lot, and sometimes ocassionally, I have yet to go psychotic.

Maybe when the government realise how much money they can make out of it.I used to smoke it but gave up after going mad and getting sectioned for 5 months.

Probably, yes. It takes a lot of time, effort and money to try to prevent it, so at some point they'll try to control and tax it instead.
