How to care for dry skin?
My skin and hair have always been super oily. My hair needs washing every other day and my makeup was prone to going shiny in an hour.
Recently, I was put on a medication and its drying me out. My face is flaky and tight feeling, the skin on my hands is so dry that it tears easily, and I'm ALWAYS thirsty.
I don't really know how to care for dry skin. Mine is no longer oily. Any pointers? Drug store moisturizers that actually work? How long before it starts to affect my hair?

Good Afternoon,
Dry skin is very easy to take off but it naturally improve within two to three days.
Dry skin is natural cause by dehydration of the body. If you skin is dry it a reflection of what going on the inside of our body. Especially it is reflection of how clean the tissues and blood are underneath your skin.
To cure these symptoms fast I suggest some ideas.
1. Drinking about two cups of hot tea or hot water in the morning and at night. The more your use the restroom the more salt and sugar rinses out your system.
2. Stay away from salty and sugary food or least eat a few bites less.
3. If you drink coffee its best to drink it 3 - 4 times a week since many people are working. This way you drink it every other day to give your heart and blood a break.
4. However Alcohol is very dangerous so it best NOT to drink it but if you do maybe once a week so
it doesn't dehydrate your skin.
5. Take a showers for at least 5 longer then you usually do.
6. Sleep deprivation will cause dehydration because stressing will cause your body to sweat more and lose moisture under your skin.
So I hope this helps and good luck.

Use honey and olive oil face masks once a week until you see an improvement. For a really good moisturizer look for the Monsia moisturizer online, its just vitamin C and natural stuff which will help a ton with dry skin. Also helps with the lines because vit C is good for that :)
