What recent Norris winner would you want on your team? Karlsson or Subban?

As a habs fan and Ottawa resident I end up watching a lot of Habs games and Sens games. I have my opinion on who I would choose and why. I am curious to see what everyone else thinks, assuming same contract, who would you rather have on your team and why? PK or EK?

Update:

EDIT- Okay my five cents worth.

EK is in a league all his own offensively - talentwise. Defensively is a whole other game. His size or lack thereof scares me as well.

PK is a well rounded D man with great offensive upside, decent physicality, good defensively but a a penchant for gambling at the wrong time on occasion.

If I had to choose one to build my D around I have to go with PK, I give up a little on offense although I think that big shot pretty much evens it out on the powerplay. Defensively I have a lot more and it won't take much to fix his defensive issues. EK on the other hand is a defensive mess, he always thinks offense first and I'm not sure he can ever be effective defensively as he is too small.

In terms of the Lidstrom comparison, offensively he is better than Lidstrom but is nowhere near Lidstrom defensively. Lidstrom was a minus player once in his career (-2) EK already has a -30 under his belt.

Ottawa has been a mess so far this year and he seems

Assuming you mean my team as in my NHL team (Red Wings) the answer is pretty easy....Karlsson. He is a pucking moving offensive guy in the mold of a Lidstrom and would be the better system fit not to mention the Babcock factor. Babcock and Subban might have a little problem co-existing without drama so that has to be considered.

With that said a great case could be made for Subban being the better all around player and guy you could mold easier into a #1 defender for a Stanley Cup team. His offensive skill is very good and he is very good in his own zone but what sets him apart is his willingness to do the hard, tough jobs. He is abrasive, he will challenge his own guys as quickly as he will the opponent (obviously verbally for teammates, physically for opponents...hopefully anyways) and his level of compete is right there with the best players in the world.

Because of the perfect system fit Karlsson is the right choice for the Wings, because of all the other things Subban is a better fit for most NHL teams in my opinion.....assuming of course he decides to not make everything about him (which at times can be a legitimate concern).

Subban. I don't get the comparison between Lidstrom and Karlsson. Okay they both play D and are Swedish. I've never liked Karlsson though, I will get so much beat for this but he's a whiner and has dived a few times as well.

I don't recall Lidstrom ever doing those things.

Subban is a lot better defensively but Karlsson is a better scorer. Comes down to if you would like more scoring opportunities or less holes in your D

My team already has a player like Karlsson, just nowhere near as good (Letang).

I'd rather have Subban because he's better in his own end of the ice than Katlsson is.

Karlsson. There is no other player like him in the league. He's an absolute game changer and has the potential to be a league MVP.

Subban, shouldn't have won the Norris last year that had Suter's name all over it.

I would be glad to have either one.

    Capitals have two good D-men,

    two burnouts and some kids...
