What type of electric motor is this? GE Model 27468?

I have an old (circa 1920) electric motor 1/4 HP 110 volts 60 cycles, possibly off a Maytag washer.

It has slip rings and brushes. Not commutators. What type of motor is this? It is not a repulsion-induction or a series wound universal ac/dc motor.

Update:

It does have a centrifugal switch, it is just a type of split phase motor with a start winding in the armature?

Update 2:

Arjan, I don't know if I answered it or not, I am just guessing. I have never seen an a/c motor with slip rings. I don't know if it is correct to call it an induction motor since it has a wound rotor.

You've kind of already answered this question yourself: it's a split-phase starting induction motor
