Horse community in Washington state?
I will have enough money to move to washington soon, and my boyfriend and I are still discussing where we want to be specifically. Any place is good with a few stipulations.
The main one for me is the horse community. I want a place where there are options for lessons (mainly showjumping). I want a place where I dont have to drive a long way for competitions. I want a place where smaller horse properties aren't insanely expensive, or if they are, I want a few options for self care stables.
The other stipulations include a midsized town. I don't want all the confusing streets and traffic you get in bigtowns, though I can handle a large amount of people. But I don't want it to be a long drive from basic needs (grocery store, etc).
If anyone is familiar with Fort Mohave, AZ, that is about the setup I'm looking for (though I hate that town itself). A midsized town, zoned for horses, but not largely spaced out from neighbors. Grocery store, malls, etc. are within a 10 minute drive, and still kinda a horsey area.

Check out Mossyrock! It's a nice, small town, but just outside of it there's tons of horse properties if you're willing to check. It's more southern, in Lewis County. Kinda out of civilisation though, in my opinion, you have to drive a few towns over to get to a nice grocery store.
Another good place is Puyallup! It's a bit harder to find a house with property, but if you're willing, there's tons of boarding places (my friend owns High Point Equestrian Center).
I hope your move is safe!!
PS A transition from AZ to WA is big and terrible, say hello to weather in the low teens.

Snohomish Country, north of Seattle, has a very high horse population.
I don't know if it still is, but it used to have the largest horse population in the US.
A wide variety of disciplines , lots of opportunities.
Many smaller areas around, and the prices vary a lot.
Good luck!
