Can I wash my face with mouthwash?

I just ran out of face wash and my face is really oily. So I was just wondering if I could use mouthwash instead of face wash....I have a scope dualblast mouthwash if it matters.

Thanks

I think soap would be less drying to your skin. I know you said your skin is oily, but even oily skin can lose hydration, (water) which would hurt it. Even dish soap—do you have any dish soap? Same reason you shouldn't put alcohol on your face, I would think you wouldn't use mouthwash. Anyway, in any case, you'll be okay until you can get back to the right stuff!!

Wash you face with Shower Gel or soap.

Your face will be all minty and you might have an allergic reaction if your skin is sensitive.

Mouthwash and face wash are completely different things, and do different jobs

You can wash your hair with Shower Gel because Shampoo and Shower Gel do basically the same thing (cleans and refreash) The skin on your face is very sensitive, and that mouthwash probally has alcohol in it anyway.

Go and buy some if you are that desperate

    Source(s): I certainly wouldn't advise it.
