"A human being is part of the whole called by us universe ... ~ Einstein "...To know that what is impenetrable to us really exists, manifesting itself as the highest wisdom and the most radiant beauty!" ~ Einstein "O wonderful, wonderful, and most wonderful, wonderful, and yet again, wonderful! ~ Shakespeare God is in every vibration of every force in the Universe. The evolving God has created this Universe and is evolving (Him)self though it. Many life-filled worlds exist in this vast Universe. God creates slowly, e.g. nudges mutation to direct the evolution of life. There is no perfection, only wondrous evolution of the ineffable. You have the energy of God in your atoms. Only ask and the wisdom of creation will be just one bit more available to you. The experiencing of God is the highest delight in life. How do I delete all of a category of emails on Verizon Yahoo email at once? Like all emails from Staples for the last 4 years.?
I now have thousands of unopened emails. It's because of SPAM. Many of them are from the same sources, for years. It takes so much time to delete them individually, and when I do, before I know it, I'm back up to the same number. (please don't suggest letting them know. this is for past emails.)

2 AnswersTVs6 years agoCats: Do cats like to look at any kinds of pictures or patterns or colors? If you wanted to decorate the area where your cat sits…?
or whatever, to make it nice for him/her, do cats respond to any kind of two-dimensional designs, or art, or like bushes, or maybe mice!!! Or would certain colors be more pleasing to them? I've googled this but find nothing. Maybe they only respond to movement?
4 AnswersCats7 years agoNDEs - What happens during an Near Death Experience, for the "Experiencer"— the person having it?
This isn't about whether they are "real" or not—but what do people say happens in one? I'd like to hear ALL the things that you've heard about. Like, are there a lot of different things that happen?
If you WANT to talk about what causes them, it would be useful mainly if you could connect what causes them with what seems to happen in them.
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoSoda & bacteria…if I drink a soda, like all afternoon, will it have bacteria in it after a while?
When I drink a coke or ginger ale (both with sugar) I often nurse it all day. I recently started worrying that bacteria could breed in it—after all, it gets into my mouth and a little washes back in, right? And there's bacteria in my mouth. I have posted this question on Google and now on YA, and I have not found any information about it. I guess no one else is thinking about this!
Not meaning to be rude, but please don't just guess! I'd like an answer from someone who "knows," such as a medically trained person, or a person who has studied biology etc. If you want points, you could say, I don't know and then guess, so I'll know you are guessing!!
3 AnswersOther - General Health Care7 years agoNDEs: Off the top of your head, how many features of Near Death Experiences do you know of? Have you had an NDE? Thanks!?
Near Death Experiences are very similar one to another—what are some features are you familiar with?
Note: I'm not asking what causes an NDE, but I WOULD be interested to hear from you if you know what causes them but not what they are like.
Thanks!
4 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoNDEs—How much do people know about what NDEs are? What are all the characteristics you've ever heard?
What are all the characteristics (e.g. things that happen during them etc.) of Near Death Experiences that you have ever heard of? Thanks!
2 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoNDEs—to people who don't believe consciousness separates from the body at death—what are all the theories?
what are all the theories that lead you to believe that consciousness does not separate from the body at death, that the Near Death Experience is merely caused by a brain function of some kind, and, even better, where did you get your ideas from? How credible are these sources do you think?
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoChristian Fundamentalists, please answer: do you believe that all species of animals + veggies were created during?
do you believe that all species of animals and vegetation were created during that first "week" mentioned in Genesis in the Bible? In other words, all the species of beings that are now on earth were created at the very beginning? (I'm just trying to figure out something about what you believe.)
If not, what do you believe? Thanks.
10 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoI'm at 24,994 points. Doesn't that mean I'm about to become a YA spirit? Rising to the top?
Will you celebrate with me? Of course, this question will subtract 5 points, but I'll answer a few more questions, then we can break out the balloons! I've never been on level 7 before!! I joined in 2008, but have not been consistently posting.
Thank you Yahoo Answers, for helping me to sort out my thoughts and express myself, and for introducing me to other interesting thoughts!!
(level 7 is at 25,000, isn't it?)
5 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoProof of our creator: Anyone: Please design an acceptable experiment that would give proof of God.?
Please read this whole question in order to give a good answer!
I just read a new question here on YA about proof of our creator.
Atheists, or anyone—will you please propose an experiment that, when carried out, would demonstrate proof of a God or Creator.
(Please remember, we have no idea what the nature of a creator really is. Please do not go by descriptions in religious texts in your proposals unless you believe those descriptions. Try and imagine what our Creator WOULD be like if there were one.)
12 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoAbout NDEs: Are there studies that have been done regarding whether there the brain can have experiences when?
when there is no blood flowing through the brain? When a person has a cardiac arrest, no blood can flow through the brain and therefore no oxygen can nourish the brain cells. It is when the brain cells have had no supply of oxygen for 5 to 10 minutes that irreparable damage is done to them and they die. As a consequence of that, the person dies.
Background: (does anyone read beyond the primary words?) NDEs in a study done in the Netherlands published in 2001, all of which took place during "clinical death" after a heart attack, happened while consciousness should have been impossible. ( I'm re-reading a book that this is in, "Consciousness Beyond Life" by Dr. Pim van Lommel, a cardiologist who started off as an atheist.) But recently, I thought I'd seen on YA that some new studies had been done which showed that there can be activity in the brain even when the heart is not beating.
Can anyone help me track this down? That's what I want, not just some statements such as "NDEs take place because of anoxia - loss of oxygen to the brain" because besides everyone always saying that, lack of oxygen to the brain produces confusion, fuzzy thinking, torpor, and cessation of thought—the longer the brain cells are starved of oxygen. Nor do I want the usual "NDEs take place because of chemicals in the dying brain"—I need to know how the brain can register anything, including produce memories, when the heart has stopped. Thanks!
6 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoWhat would a person who does not believe there are evil entities be called, if one who does not believe in gods is called an "atheist?"?
[if one who doesn't believe in gods is called an "Atheist?"]
I believe there is a supreme creator of some sort, but not that there are evil beings. No Devil, no Satan, no Demons etc.
I think that the concept of "Evil" and "Satan" came from people not understanding why people act in harmful ways towards each other.
"There must be an entity that controls that bad behavior" they might have said, "because people would not naturally do bad things." (Maybe.)
My understanding is that selfish, destructive behaviors are natural to the animal kingdom, and they are carried in the genes. They got there because In order to SURVIVE, many species of animals have had to destroy and eat other animals, or ferociously defend their territory, or injure mating competitors. Those sorts of behaviors are not learned within an animal's lifetime, they come naturally when the time is right. (e.g. Ever watch a mother cat care for her kittens?) …they are genetically carried behaviors that have evolved & have been passed down through the genes.
So, even though mankind now doesn't NEED for our behavior to be inherited in our genes, because we have teaching and learning, we still carry much of those inherited animal behaviors. And without forethought, we just go ahead and act on those impulses.
People never knew about genetics, so they said "The Devil made me do it" etc.
I'm someone who does not believe in evil entities. Can anyone think of a good label for a person who believes this?

1 AnswerMaintenance & Repairs7 years agoNeed to Delete my answer! I was trying to report an answer and somehow my report got entered as an "Answer."?
The Best Answer had already been picked, so it was a Reference Question: The one word answer was abusive, but I don't want what I wrote as the report to be seen as An Answer.
But you can't edit an answer that you post if a Best Answer has already been picked.
What can I do to get it deleted? I can't "report" it, either.
3 AnswersYahoo Answers7 years agoSomething is wrong with my Yahoo Answers pages. There is a strip across the top THAT COVERS UP PART OF THE PAGE?
Ever since I got the Purple Format back, the strip on the page that has on it : Rectangular Purple button that says "Search Answers" and the Rectangular Blue Button that says "Search Web" and the little Square with my Avatar in it and my real name to the right of it, and the Purple Envelope that says "Mail" to the right of it. and the purple Gear, is at the top of every question and answer page and IT COVERS UP MOST OF THE QUESTION SO I CAN'T READ IT.
It also is on everyone's "Answers Home" page, including my own.
This is clearly a bug and not part of the purple format. I've tried refreshing the page and that didn't do anything.
Help!
The first time I posted this, someone said it is supposed to be like this. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO COVER UP PART OF THE PAGE SO I CAN'T SEE THE ANSWER. THANKS!!
