Soda & bacteria…if I drink a soda, like all afternoon, will it have bacteria in it after a while?

The bacteria that would be in it, would be coming form what is already in your mouth. when the soda sits overnight,yes the bacteria will grow and the soda should be gotten rid of, thats basic biology/chemistry/science. but to nurse it for a few hours, unless you have been something disgusting in your mouth, you should be fine just nursing it. if someone is telling you otherwise, tell them to shut up.

Thank you girls!! That's a good standard—don't leave it overnight. And I like that point, which I had not thought of, which is that the bacteria would be coming from MY mouth, so it would be MY bacteria. I just thought "bacteria, bad" and I'm grateful for the information.

Kathy, what a good idea, except that I drink from a bottle (a la Talking Heads—"Baby, Baby please let me hold you, I'm going to keep him up all night") and keep putting the cap back on to keep it fizzy. But maybe that's a good idea for me!

Of course, these days, if you think your info is important for someone in the future, you can still add an answer! Which is one more reason that the PURPLE Format is good—has improvements. Such as, also, being able to see the other answers while I'm writing mine, which one did not used to be able to do with the Green Format. But I have gotten way off topic. Haha, no, no one is telling me not to nurse it. That would have been annoying!

I love the foam cups that you get the draw sodas in. A little bit of ice, they have a cover and you drink from a straw. The soda stays cold for a long time.
