Have any MRA men read?

Have you ever read "Half the Sky"? Do you ever comprehend real issues facing women worldwide?

There are a lot of real men who appreciate the **** women have always dealt with and still do in many places- these men care and work very hard to empower women. These men know what horrors women face in everyday life and they want to change it. These are real men. They aren't seeking attention- they simply believe in doing what is right.

Why can't men (especially in the usa) dedicate themselves to a worthwhile cause like helping people in the world who are actually in danger rather than snivel and whine because women have a 'right's movement' and they don't?

A men's right's movement makes no sense when they have not ever been denied any rights!

Update:

mr. chao- Maybe some u.s. women are pampered- not all of us. women have custody battles, too. Media portrays men as being the victims of custody battle disputes but that is far from reality. Men do get convicted of domestic violence more- sometimes fairly, sometimes not. Thanks for answering.

willbewill- I completely disagree lol

Xavier- the book I referenced is about the real issues facing women worldwide! That was the point of my question. In some countries, a woman who is raped is considered the perpetrator rather than the victim. That is what I care about- certainly not banknotes or urinals.

steve- little boy, where to begin: if a DNA test proves (in the u.s.) a man is not a childs father, he is not ordered to pay child support. You don't seem to have a clue what feminism is about. Read the da** book! Just out of curiosity- I'd love to hear your version of history regarding a woman's right to vote.

I don't think any MRAs are denying that it's worse for women worldwide. However, women in the US are the most privileged and pampered group in history.

"A men's right's movement makes no sense when they have not ever been denied any rights!"

Tell that to any man who's been in a custody battle, or been thrown in jail for being a victim of domestic violence.

Do feminists ever comprehend real issues facing women worldwide? In some countries women are arrested for wearing trousers or driving and in some countries rape really is a risk.

Meanwhile in rich white Western countries feminists are too busy obsessing with the ratio of men to women on banknotes and trying to ban topless modelling. And the Swedish feminists are obsessing over trying to ban male urinals. Talk about first world "problems"?

And I actually do think there is a need for a men's movement.

-Prostate cancer kills almost as many people as breast cancer, yet the latter receives several times more government funding and 100x more publicity.

    -Most homeless/suicides/prisoners/workplace fatalities are men.

-Men have no legal protection from sexual harrassment:

Is that book available in proto-Norwegian?

MRAs want legal rights and treatment for men to be on par with legal rights and treatment for women, each in their respective countries. Maximised wherever possible for both.

Nothing in that quest contains nor mandates a reduction or diminished in rights guaranteed to women. On the contrary, men and women have the SAME rights.

MRAs want them secured, not ignored. Promoted, not subverted through slight of hand.

    All laws should be gender-neutral.

    Added @Panda:

Are you saying that in Norway and in the United States, there are ZERO laws and ZERO regulations that apply to men and women differently?
