What is the significance of the Middle Ages, the Vikings, and manorialism?

I don't mean together, I mean like, can you please list the significances of the three of those individually? I need this for a homework assignment and am having trouble figuring it out. Pretty much, why are the Middle Ages important? Why are the Vikings important? and Why is manorialism important? I'd really appreciate this ^^ thank you so much

The main "significance" of the middle ages was political decentralization. The Vikings played a role in bringing it about, or exacerbating it, since weak central governments meant most people, or the peasants, had to rely on local nobles for protection. Manoralism was the economic system which arose under those conditions. The local nobles became lords of big estates or manors.
