  • Statistics HW Help?

The basal diameter of a sea anemone is an indicator of its age, and in a certain

population of anemones, the distribution of basal diameters is approximately normal

with a mean of 5.3 cm and a standard deviation of 1.8 cm. Suppose you randomly

select five anemones from this population.

    a.

What is the probability that all five anemones have a basal diameter more than 5.5

    cm?

    (2pt)

    b.

What is the probability that the mean basal diameter of the five anemones is more

    than 5.5 cm?

Comparing the probabilities you calculated in parts (a) and (b), which is larger?

Even if we changed the values the mean and standard deviation of this population, briefly explain why this must will always be the case.

    Cs,water : 4.184 J/g˚C

    Cs,steam : 2.03 J/g˚C

    ∆Hfus, water : 334 J/g

  • Chemistry: If you react 10 L of oxygen gas with 18 L of methanol gas, what will the final volume be? with a chemical reaction written out?

Consider the combustion of methanol at some high temperature in a constant-pressure reaction chamber:

    2CH3OH (g) + 3O2 (g) ⟶2CO2 (g) + 4H2O (g)

If you react 10 L of oxygen gas with 18 L of methanol gas, what will the final volume be?

I got to a point where I got around 20 as an answer but it was wrong because I didn't account for the amount of non-limiting reactant that remained unused. The issue is that I don't know how to calculate how much reactant was unused. The answer options are 28L, 31.3L, 26.7L, and 20L.

  • Physics Pre-AP problem, spring potential energy, finding Distance(x) when you have the mass and spring constant only?

An object that has a mass of 3 kg is attached to a spring constant 50 N/m. How far is the equilibrium position of this spring system from the point where the spring exerts no force on the object?

The answer is around 0.6m, so I know the answer, I just need to know how to find it. The formula for spring potential is U = 0.5k(x^2) *U = potential spring, k = spring constant, x = distance* if that helps at all

I would really appreciate help ^^ best answer will most certainly get 10 points, thanks!

  • Casio CTK-2090 Piano headphones jack not working?

I'm using regular Sony headphones I got from walmart, the standard size that usually works with everything. I recently got a Casio CTK-2090 61-key Keyboard (piano) and read the manual to see that headphones are supposed to be plugged in the back in a jack called "Phones/Output" but that port and all the others are too big for normal headphones. Help? I don't know what kind of headphones it needs!

  • Finding the quadratic formula with just the roots and what "a" is?

roots are ±i√5, passes through (-2,2) find the standard form of quadratic function. I know that your supposed to start out with the intercept form "y=a(x-p)(x-q)" and that you plug it in to make "y=a(x-i√5)(x+i√5)". After that you plug in the point and find out that a=1/3 which makes the intercept form "y=1/3(x-i√5)(x+i√5)" but I'm not sure how to make that into stand form, please help

  • Translate from English to Spanish, please? People that know Spanish. 10 points!?

Hi! I'm having a little trouble with this Spanish assignment I've gotten. It's due tomorrow and I really need to do it now! I'll get help from the teach on what I'm struggling with later I was just wondering if I could get some help translating from English to Spanish just so I can get the assignmrnt turned in! I'd like if you were to help me because you actually know Spanish! This is what I need help translating:

"Someone to talk to and someone who is willing to help"

"not being good enough, mean people, and losing close people"

"the job of a doctor, good friends, and an amazing family."

"the northern lights and good grades"

sounds weird I know :D It's some lines for a Spanish poem I have to write, this isn't the poem but it's just the parts that I wasn't able to translate. I'd really appreciate some help! Thank you!
