Casio CTK-2090 Piano headphones jack not working?

I'm using regular Sony headphones I got from walmart, the standard size that usually works with everything. I recently got a Casio CTK-2090 61-key Keyboard (piano) and read the manual to see that headphones are supposed to be plugged in the back in a jack called "Phones/Output" but that port and all the others are too big for normal headphones. Help? I don't know what kind of headphones it needs!

Make sure there isn't a separate headphone jack mute. If you go to the volume control properties, there should be an option to show more or additional mixers. See if the headphones have their own volume control or mute. Also check the audio settings in the control panel, I believe it is sometimes under a Volume or Playback devices. Also, check to see if any of the function key combinations, usually a Fn+number key, are for switching volume controls.

You can find an adapter in any store that sells electronics.
