Are the Cowboys talented ?

Yes.. They just don't have the coaching to bring it out.....

There are quite a few players on that team who are very talented. The thing is that talent can only get you so far. Championship teams stay healthy or at least get healthy at the right time (see the 2011 Giants), have competent GM's, and a head coach who isn't a yes-man to the owner/GM.

they really arent that talented if you think about it. lets start on offense. theyre pretty solid. the offensive line is good. definitely coming together after 2 seasons being on the struggle bus. their wide outs have a good mix. dez is a great outside threat. then you have beasly as a solid slot receiver. then you have williams opposite and i love miles austin, but hes not panning out. then you have romo who can throw. the running backs can run, but they just dont run the ball. i mean they ran for 200 yards monday with romo 3 tds and 0 picks. now, lets look at the defense. they dont have a great offensive line. theyve been banged up with make shift players and you have d ware converted d end. their linebacking core is what makes their defense. thats where they get their turnovers. without that, monday is the result. the secondary bends, but dont necessarily break. they are decent at corner, but 95% off corners cant hold their own against man and their safeties are garbage. they cant help up top. their special teams return isnt bad. their special teams defense is pretty bad though. but then look at management. jerry jones is senile. jason garrett is a total idiot. monte kiffin is terrible ever since he left tennessee.

They are an average team with average talent

They're one of those teams where on paper, they should be a perennial playoff contender.
