Why are the Seattle Seahwks so good this year ?

Honestly I think they're so good this year because of last seasons success and they're riding a hell of a wave, they have a new offensive leader they trust to run the game and why not the kid is legit, the defense has always been good but that last 2 seasons has this cocky swagger that's gotta be intimidating, the have a great rivalry going with not just the niners but carrol and harbaugh genuinely hate each others guts and fans love that stuff and Seattle has great fans and they get real fired up. In short, coaching, quality leadership and fan base is why they're so good and will probably be dominant in the NFC for quite a while.

btw not a hawks fan but i know a damn good club when i see one.

Carroll and Schneider have acquired some great personnel, some with later-round draft picks (Wilson, Sherman), and some who had stalled with other teams (Lynch). Along with the skill positions, they've put together good offensive and defensive lines to enable the others. Through the injuries, it's become apparent that many of the "next man up" players for the Seahawks could start for many other teams.

Then you plug those players into the offensive and defensive schemes that Carroll, Bevell, Quinn, and the rest have put together seems to make them even better.
