i want to move out that way after I get my masters done. I heard they have a great art district and are very friendly towards artists. I also want to go to Canada a lot.

My roommate who grew-up there says to tell you "Fairhaven (the art district) is beautiful." She says there are art places and restaurants. It really is a beautiful town, and it's not far from three border crossings. It's close to Mt. Baker (which has a ski resort), its on Bellingham Bay, and has Lake Whatcom on the east side of town.
