How does bleach react with fire? Is it dangerous?

So... I feel a bit stupid right now. I was cleaning the kitchen and sprayed bleach onto the stove to clean it. Then it occurred to me, will something dangerous happen if I turn on the stove? It's the kind that has open flame. I'd really rather not cause a bleach-fire explosion.

As long as you wiped up as much as possible you should be fine. If it makes you feel better to kind of water it down spray a bit of water and wipe that up, then light a burner. I'm 99% sure it won't catch fire. Hope that helps.

Thoroughly clean with soapy water and leave to air dry.

I would stick with normal oven cleaner from now on ;)
