Do you see any reason why Schwartz should remain as the coach of the Lions?

Found this article of coaches changes last year. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on-football/21563... So then I decided to check each teams record from last year and compare it to this year. And guess what all these teams are either already doing better than last year or they have a chance to equal their record or even get better in these last 2 games (wow run-on sentence!). Change worked for these teams so I hope management will get rid of Schwartz. What do you think?

Really does it matter who coaches the Lions? They are set up for failure by the front office and it starts with the Ford family.Just because change worked for other teams does not translate into better for others.

Besides you are better now then you were 5 years ago.

Well...This is his 5th full year coaching the Lions (Much longer than most teams give a guy a chance). His record right now is 29-49 which is pretty bad. The Lions went 4-12 last year, so it isnt the case where he was just awful in the first few years but is getting better. As for this season, they have lost 4 of thier last 5 games against either fringe playoff teams or non-playoff teams....nothing elite. Everyone else in the NFC North has lost their QB for a huge chunk of the season (Minny never had one)....and yet the Lions are still trying to give the division away. I think there is too much talent on the field for the Lions to be messing around at 7-7 in a division that is full of teams that has been enamored with injuries.

  • The Schwartz should have been fired last year. I got lots of laughs from Lions fans this year dreaming about the playoffs while The Schwartz was still patrolling the sideline. The Lions would be better off hiring Kenny Whizzer the QB Killer as head coach.

Not really. Even if he miraculously gets them into the play offs (which won't happen) I think he should be gone. The only bad thing is, then a lot of the players change, too. A coach likes to have the guys he likes and not the loser dudes rejects. Even the players know this.
