Is a Land Surveyor a good career?

I have been looking it up and it seems like a pretty good one. I just want to know if it really is? What should i major in to become one? What is the pay both starting and mid career? Anyu other info you all have?

    Like construction trades, good pay but not always steady work, That's why journeymen must journey.
