What is the largest whole number under 5,000,000 that is divisible by 62?

That, and, I would appreciate it if you could explain to me how you came to your answer.

    62 goes into 5,000,000 = 80645 times, with 10 left over.

    80645 * 62 = 4,999,990

    So 4,999,990 is divisible by 62, and is less than 5 million.

    Just use the calculator ! 5 000 000/62=80645,16129.

    then the number is 80645 * 62=4 999 990

    4,999, 999 is a whole number divisible by 62; you get 80645 and 5/31, but of course you meant exactly divisible, so multiplying 80645 by 31 yields 4999990.
