Most certainly , the next major war will be fought over the Earths finite resources , Oil, Minerals , etc, As these resources become even scarcer many nations will be forced to take some form of action to obtain them . If a country has a powerful Navy, Army ,Air Force , what use will it be if it cannot be deployed because of lack of fuel ,or other requirements ? Japan entered WW2 because it was desperate for oil supplies and other resources a similar event will occur again sometime

I dont want to have to look for it but look in my questions and answers. I laid out the way chances are a world war 3 would happen.
Its not world domination its regional conflicts.
Asia (islands and resources)
Europe (Germany becoming a economic empire)
Iran (Control of Middle East and its Oil)
N. Korea (Starving and need the south)
thats how world war 3 will happen
its not a if its a when

Mutually
Assured
Destruction
M.A.D is the only thing that is preventing an all out Nuclear World War 3.
But it is possible in near future with all the tensions around the world.

Eventually, 100%. What will the nature of this world-wide conflict be? That is hard to say. But the United States is not going to be the only superpower (or even A superpower) for ever. There are a lot of countries who would like to knock us down, and--sooner-or-later--someone is going to try.

Yes. Always. But the the threat of Mutually Assured Destruction is fairly off putting to most politicians. There ain't a bank account in the world that'll stop a Chinese Nuke.

There's always the possibility but I don't think it will happen soon for the following reasons:
- no country can really touch the US. Even though countries like China and India are growing economically and have more manpower they still do not have near the military capacity of the US.
- the worlds major powers are very cooperative with one another right now. It doesn't make much sense for anyone to cause strife.
- The threat of nuclear annihilation is still very real.

With all the leaders of the countries, most being men, trying to prove who has the biggest balls, and can look like an idiot at the drop of the hat, YEAH....
