why do women seem to be more diverse with what they find attractive?
I know men can be too, but from what I've seen; it seems like women more so have much more variety as far as what they find good looking from a man.It seems more subjective between women than it is for men. For example, a certain number of women can find a guy hot, and another number of women find the same guy just average or not cute. I'm not talking about personality being involved in this equation but simply looks. Like it can be more polar as far as a some women finding a guy who looks like Robin Thicke so hot and good looking and another set of women, not too impressed and find a guy who looks kind of girly and skinny like that Harry dude from one direction hot. Is there a scientific explanation,..maybe I should have asked this in the biology section ha. As a guy I know guys find different women attractive and looks, but it seems more often many guys or more so, find a "hot" woman or with such features or others with similar features good looking. A woman that I find hot, many guys will as well and vice versa as far as my buddies. There's a girl I work with who is real pretty and like everybody feels that way about her. Then there's a girl who talking about this guy she's talking to and who is so cute. She showed a pic to another girl worker and she agreed that he was cute. But then the guy showed up at work one day with her, and he was no Robin Thicke and I know plenty of girls wouldn't have found him attractive.
I know personality dictates a man's physical attractiveness more so to a woman. But I'm talking about aesthetically, women seem more diverse and individual with what they find nice looking for their eyes. Like I said, this girl talking about a guy she finds hot, never talked to him, so she didn't know his personality, but was excited that he asked her out. But her wanting to date him was on a very visual level. Though this guy while hot to her, would not be hot to other women. Whereas, a girl that is actually very pretty to a guy is more often to be atleast cute or pretty to many other guys as well. Guy's tastes with physical appearance varies as well, but doesn't seem to vary nearly as much between the individual guy as it does for women.

So shut the **** up. cock licker. How many times do you have guys checking out this pretty chick or say a girl is hot and so many guys see the same beauty? How many women will say some scrawny emo looking guy is cute or hot with no muscle and then other girls find a 6 foot three, football player like guy hot. The tastes in physical features in looks is so much more polar for women. Sure guys find different women attractive and bodies, but not as extreme in difference or so varied as women. If you don't think so, they you are living in a cave.

Well a lot of deciding a man's appeal comes from a woman thinking about it. When women are deciding if a man is attractive or not, their thoughts are not limited to someone being aestheticlly attractive. They usually attribute the mans appearence to what they could be as a possible spouse. So if a male model was pursing his lips, one woman might read that as a sign of confidence and find that attractive, while another woman may interpert him as being full of himself, and find him unattractive. While, on the other hand, men are more visual and look at a woman and say, "Oh, she's pretty." or "Oh, she's not."
And while that may seem a bit overcomplicated, it's just the way our minds tend to go! :P I hope that helped!

I have a personality type, rather than a type of physical appearance that I look for. For me, personality almost dictates his physical attractiveness. I think some women can be just as selective as men, but in varying ways.

That's a really lengthy explanation for a simple question. It's all about brain chemistry. Hormones are released when people find others attractive.
