Which of these girl's names do you like best: Lily, Sophia, or Emme?
Okay, so I'm really picky and indecisive and I can never find any names I just //love// for myself. There's a world of names I like, but when it comes to actually finding names I'd actually use and like enough to put on a list, it's like trying to decide the fate of the world. (Okay, maybe I'm a little dramatic.) I'm really sorry this is so ridiculously long.
Right now, I'm caught between three names: Lily, Sophia, and Emme.
Lily, if you know me, was my all-time favorite name for the looooonnngggesssttt time. I loved Lily so much I had a hard time finding other names I liked because I never liked them as much as I loved Lily. But somehow I got a little detached from Lily--I didn't like the way it sounded after I ate ice cream or ice or anything cold really and my tongue was all numb and whatnot (okay, weird, I know), I didn't like the way some people said it, it just kind of lost its luster. But now I feel like I shouldn't have turned my back on Lily and should go back to it, because I really do love it, but maybe I just needed a break from it?
Sophia isn't a new favorite, but it's not an old one either. I used to prefer Sophie to Sophia, but I think Sophia has a certain elegance and shine that Sophie lacks. Sophia, up until, I don't know, like two days ago, was my number one girl's name with the middle name Lily because I couldn't just let it go after all that time spent on it. I like all of the cutesy, unexpected nickname options for Sophia. I like Sophia's classy air. I hate it's popularity. I tried so hard not to let it get to me, but I was ice skating the other day and literally listened to three different sets of parents call their Sophias off the ice.
Emme is new, but old. I used to really like Emmeline, got over it. I loved Emily, got over it. I even tried Emilia for a minute, didn't like it. I adored the sweet, innocent little nickname, though. Emme (EH-me) just kind of stuck. It's cute, feminine, adorable, yet oddly elegant and potentially professional. It even sounds great with a bunch of super-fem middle names, which I love. Even Emme broken down to Em I love. Em is a gem, but is it a winner? I don't know.
So I'm turning to you guys! Which do you prefer Lily, Sophia, or Emme? Why? Be as honest as you'd like and if you have any suggestions feel free to suggest! I'm sorry for the length, again, and for the dramatics. x)
Thanks so much!!

I really like all your options!
I think Emme is the least common out there. I think most people prefer Emma over Emme, and Emma is very common! I would prefer Emme over the other two for you, but all are great! I love Lily too, although I prefer it with two L's. One of my kitty character's is name Lilly and it suits her great! I agree of what you said about Emme. The little nickname Em is cute too. I would think Emme may be a winner! I love that, and it's very unheard of. Even if you decide on Lily or Sophia, they are both great themselves and as long as you are happy and positive on it. :)

Lily- I also love this name. It ages seamlessly but it's pretty popular.
Nicknames: Lila, Lil
Sophia- This name has grown on me and ages very well, but I would never use it due to it's popularity. It's number 1 on the most popular baby names in 2012 and has been somewhere in the top 100 girl names for 15 years. I like it much better than Sophie, which doesn't age as well.
Nicknames: Soph, Sophie, ia (E-AH)
Emme- It's really cute and sweet and not as popular as Lily or Sophia but I'm not sure about how well it'll age. I prefer Emma.
Nickname: Em
My favorite name out of all of them disregarding popularity would be Sophia (for reasons listed above)
If popularity really doesn't matter to you then choose the name you really love. But if you don't want your daughter to be in a class with three other people with the same name then go with something pretty but not too common.

I would say Sophia. I like lily when it's short for Lillian or Lillianna. I don't like Emme because it sounds like a nickname not a full name. I would think Emme would be a nickname for Emily or Emmelin

Lily is the best. Sophia is too popular! And Emme is way to childish... Emma or Emmalyn could be better

I'm stuck between Lily and Emme!
Emme is my #1 name, well nickname, for a girl. Emmeline is the full name, but I pronounce it as emma-lyn (I dislike Emmalyn, Emelyn, etc. spellings).
Lily is my #2 girls name, so I'm stuck!
I used to love Lily Sophia, if that helps. :)

The decision is up to you, only your opinion matters. Think about your babygirl when she is 4, will you still like that name? Also, i know its nice to have a name picked out, but go into delivery open-minded, because when you see her Lily could change to Sophia. I had my babygirl in october i went in dead set on Phoebe and ended up naming her Aubrie. I like all 3 names, im not giving my opinion on a favorite due to the fact that it needs to come from your heart. Good luck & happy naming!

Do Sophia -- my legal name is Sophia but I go by Sophie, with my friends, and in a professional unfamiliar setting I go by Sophia. It also lets me know when someone doesn't know me well enough to call me by Sophie. ;) Very popular name right now.
