Does the guy who said this sound pretty smart?

"The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish."

Update:

@Jason; no he opposed Hitler, and aided Hitler's enemies

is this where we end the conversation by naming Hitler as the one who spoke those words?

    EDIT

its ok, Im on it now .. I got excited by the Godwins Law moniker

    but yeah

its a considered intelligent analysis - hardly surprising given who said it

First time I've seen a person describe something as: honorable, primitive and childish in the same sentence.

This person sounds confused to me.

I see nothing primitive OR childish in God's word, but much that is quite honorable.

Sounds like a childish person who does not believe in God nor His Word and his lack of knowledge because the Bible has never been prove wrong, but has with more knowledge been proven correct time and time again.

There is nothing more freeing than realizing that you are in control of the whole of the world, consciously and unconsciously, without having to name that idea, as fate, god, chance, unless of course, it so happens that you do for differing purposes....Does he sound smart? People can sound smart and sound stupid, the real confusion lies in trying to identify the whole of the person rather than just their piddling remarks, that is if you are confused by it.

He sounds like someone who is perishing, or has perished.

1co 1:18 For the word of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us who are saved it is the power of God.

1co 1:19 For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And the discernment of the discerning will I bring to nought.

1co 1:20 Where is the wise? where is the scribe? where is the disputer of this world? hath not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?

1co 1:21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom knew not God, it was God`s good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save them that believe.
