My cpu want's to start but shuts down what's wrong?
I have a Compaq Presario with adm running windows xp. When I push the on button it winds up to load then shuts down, sometimes it takes 3-4 or several tries to finally stay on and load. Once on it stays on and loads it runs fine with no glitches, until the next time I go to start it. Oh sometimes it starts and loads on the first try, but most of the time doesn't. What's wrong and is there a fix? Thanks

It sounds like something is going bad, possibly your motherboard or power supply simply getting warn out.
