Did you get Affordable Health Care?
My husband & I have insurance & it didn't change but my daughter & family got Affordable HC. Their previous insurance was $1,200 a month. They are now paying $325 so there's was a very positive experience. We're in California.
They had a really hard time getting into the wed site but persevered & are happy with the plan. It covers their eldest son who is in college & has Type I diabetes & their youngest son who suffers from asthma.
Does anyone else on YA have a positive experience to share? What State are you from.

I have not, California
Lost my insurance, so now I'm looking for a new group. As a healthy single young male, I don't think I will be finding a better deal than what I had previously, at the moment it might be a 250%% increase to what I had, unless I can find something else, which does not seem likely.
If your story is true, then I'm glad to hear your family has found some relief.

Had to sacrifice 20 of my most productive human capital years to get the coverage I have, (20 year Navy retired) when I first joined it was supposed to be free healthcare like when I was on active duty, but since veterans had and still have far less power than the cruel budget cutting knives of a congress who only believe in spending increases for war toy manufacturers and have no incentive or patriotism to keep America's promise to veterans, so over the time I was active congress decided that veterans were getting too good of a deal and that we should pay with our lives and our meager pensions for healthcare.
I can't complain when compared to what you're paying, but it's a real shame that congress doesn't make many sacrifices themselves, yet they voted to give themselves the same if not better healthcare at taxpayer expense, I on the other hand have to pay under $600 a year for my family's coverage, 2 years ago it was under $500 a year, so better than the ACA coverage for civilians without a medical waiver retirement.

Yes and No. I didn't sign up on my State exchange, but as a result of the law, my premiums went down by 20%. Mostly through tax cuts and signing up to a wellness program.

There are winners and losers in all government program. Your daughter is a winner, but how many losers are there paying for your daughter's winnings?
Currently there are about 3 losers to every winner in the Obamacare game.
