Should I go back to the doctor?
I had an unbearable amount of pain around my belly button extending slightly to either side. This was accompanied by extreme nausea and a headache. After a couple days I decided it was time for a doctor visit when I started getting sharp pains at random intervals. Unfortunately, the only place open was the ER. I had blood work done and that all came back normal. Without even doing a pelvic exam or ultrasound, it was determined by the doctor that I have ovarian cysts that would go away on their own. This was Friday evening.
The pain has gotten considerably worse, along with the nausea and shooting pains. I'm also considerably fatigued and have a loss in appetite. It physically hurts to stand for long periods of time and when I use the bathroom, I get the pressure feeling of having held it for too long. I'm not sure if this is normal and I should wait it out or if I should head back to the ER (or possibly a OB/GYN tomorrow).
I've had my gallbladder and appendix removed, if that helps.

I don't understand that a doctor can conclude that ovarian cysts disappear on their own. This is absolutely not true. Mine had to be removed surgically. So, see a gynaecologist and have it checked again. They do cause extreme pain and something should be done immediately. Wear loose clothes (no tight belts or jeans) and avoid any exhausting sports for the time being until the doctor is sure that nothing is wrong. Get well soon.

You need to go back. A normal ovarian follicle rupturing should resolve in hours to a few days. At this point I worry that you may have torsion or some sort of other problem. You need to be seen again.
