I'm an avid writer, not being able to make it three hours without jotting down a bit of a chapter for what ever project I'm working on. I enjoy reading and writing fiction, having never been interested in stories that portray real life. When I read I want to escape the human world, not read more about it. The same applies to my writing. If I ask a question and don't recieve a satisfactory answer in a day or so, I generally delete the question and ask again. This is especially true if it's a bit of my writing. I'm open to questions, so send me an email at any time and I'll try to get back to you ASAP.

  • Landlord has mean dog on property. What do I do?

A bit of detail would be useful to you I suppose. I rent a house from an elderly couple in Idaho. There are three house on the property, all about ten feet from the others in a kind of triangle arrangement and everyone shares a yard that isn't fully fenced. The landlords winter in Arizona and are therefore gone half of the year. At the end of last summer, the wife brought home a dog she rescued. They let him out in the morning and leave him out all day. He would stand on their little porch and bark at me when I would take my dog out but that is all. One day he got brave and attacked my foot as I was taking the garbage out to the trash can. He's only a chihuahua mix so he isn't as big as say a bulldog. Even through my running shoe, he bruised the top of my foot. I told them that he bit me and the husband told me to just kick the dog if it came near. The dog would constantly try and bite me if I stepped outside, even with my own dog (A pug). It got to the point that I was too afraid to go outside, even to go to work. They left for the winter, taking the dog with them. We hoped that they would get rid of the dog while in Arizona but this morning, when I went out to my car to grab something, he charged me from their porch. It has been a week since they got back and I did think they got rid of him. Now I'm back to being afraid to leave the house for fear of being bitten again. They refuse to do anything about him and keep telling me to just kick him away if he comes near me.

  • Should I go back to the doctor?

I had an unbearable amount of pain around my belly button extending slightly to either side. This was accompanied by extreme nausea and a headache. After a couple days I decided it was time for a doctor visit when I started getting sharp pains at random intervals. Unfortunately, the only place open was the ER. I had blood work done and that all came back normal. Without even doing a pelvic exam or ultrasound, it was determined by the doctor that I have ovarian cysts that would go away on their own. This was Friday evening.

The pain has gotten considerably worse, along with the nausea and shooting pains. I'm also considerably fatigued and have a loss in appetite. It physically hurts to stand for long periods of time and when I use the bathroom, I get the pressure feeling of having held it for too long. I'm not sure if this is normal and I should wait it out or if I should head back to the ER (or possibly a OB/GYN tomorrow).

I've had my gallbladder and appendix removed, if that helps.

  • Best 9v batteries for a Bounty Hunter Elite 2200?

I received an Elite 2200 for my birthday. I put two Energizer Max 9V Alkaline batteries in the device and it beeped on. However, when I turn it off via the button, I cannot turn it back on unless I pull out a battery and reinsert it. I've tried two sets of the same brand of batteries to no avail.

What do other enthusiasts suggest battery wise?

  • Did not receive "sterile solution" with Duramune Max 5?

After being told by our vet that it would be cheaper to self vaccinate our puppies, we headed to our local animal supply store. Here we picked up Duramune Max 5 and Duramune DvK. The DvK was already a ready to administer solution. The Max 5, however, looked to be a frozen solution yet it isn't... it's a solid block. After reading the instructions online from the Duramune website, it states that the vaccine needs to rehydrated with the "provided sterile solution". The vaccines did not come with the sterile solution that is mentioned. Do we need to talk to the supply store?

  • Puppies foaming at the mouth and having spasms?

My five week old St. Bernard puppies are all doing the same exact thing. That is they'll begin howling and within minutes start foaming extensively at the mouth and having spasms. I took them to the vet, who said nothing seemed abnormal, they didn't have an episode there, de-wormed them, and sent them home. It's only been an hour and they're at it again. I really don't know what to do!

  • Laptop charging issues?

I've replaced the normal Compaq Presario CQ62 charger before because the third prong on the charger itself came out in my wall outlet. When I got the replacement charger, I've only kept it in a padded laptop case in its own pouch to prevent the same thing. I've had the laptop for two years. Just this past week I've had issues with the laptop charging when the lid is open; sometimes it works but mostly no. As far as I can tell, nothing is wrong with the charger except for the same prong having fallen out despite my efforts.

  • Firemouth Cichlid tank mates...?

I currently have a 55 gallon tank with two plecos (8" and 6", both of which I am considering selling), two cory catfish (both around 5"), and a 5" firemouth cichlid. The fish have been together for several years. I'm looking for a few more tank mates for the tank. These are my thoughts:

6-10 Large Tiger or Green Barbs.

    1 Red Tail shark

    4-7 Black Skirt Tetras.

Sound good? Also, if you have a better/another suggestion for tank mates, let me know! :D

  • Just a few questions about tank mates ;D?

I recently bought a 55 gallon aquarium. With it came three outstanding filters (each costing over $150), everything it needs in order to be sustained (water conditioner, aquarium salt, food, decorations, ect). Anyway, right to the point.

With the tank came a male Firemouth Cichlid, two large Plecos, and two cory catfish. The tank is moderately planted/decorated (allowing an escape for everyone) and is long, not tall. Apparently the five have been together for several years.

I need ideas as to what fish can be added. I heard a koi, angelfish, and some tetras were a good idea? Yes? No? What are your ideas?

  • Two TVs displaying separate channels on a single DishTV receiver?

I previously had this set up and went into single mode for about two months. When I switched it back to dual mode, remote 1 quit working (I even changed the batteries) and it still acts like it's in single mode. I attempted to go to the DishTV website but found nothing on this situation. Thoughts?

  • Headaches and Nosebleeds...?

Since last Monday, April 20th, I've been getting throbbing headaches on a day-to-day basis, starting around 9 am. It was generally take one or two Tylenol at 11:30 (when I have lunch) and rest my head until noon. That is, until this Monday.

During my first class, around 10 am, I experienced a mild nosebleed. I left the class, walked to the bathroom, and stopped the bleeding after three minutes. I thought nothing of it until last night, Wednesday, when I experienced yet another nosebleed. This hard more severity behind it and took nearly ten minutes to stop, leaving me with a horrid headache to deal with.

Could it be the barometric pressure in my area or something else? The temperature went from in the 80s with clear skies to the low 30s and snowing in a span of three days.

  • What are your thoughts on what I have written? Should I keep writing?

Lysha poked the sizzling bacon with a fork and glanced at Miku. Any other person would have thought him to be looking at her eyes but she knew him better than that.

She sighed. "You're thirsty, aren't you?"

He gave a slight nod, looking at the kitchen floor now.

Lysha took the bacon off of the stove and walked over to him. She flipped her long blonde hair over one shoulder and held it with her hand.

"Lysha, I can't!" Miku protested. "I've taken too much from you as it is!"

"Just don't use venom and I'll be fine," she replied, leaning closer to his mouth.

Miku hesitated for a minute before his thirst took over. He pressed his lips to her bare neck, feeling the blood pulsing through her veins. Ever so slightly his lips parted, revealing razor sharp fangs. Miku's hand slid up to hold her shoulders down.

"Don't forget to stop me," he instructed.

Lysha gasped lightly as she felt his fangs puncture her skin. No matter how many times he did this, it would always take her by surprize.

Her breathing remained normal for a few moments then began to quicken. Soon her head was spinning, making everything out of focus.

"Miku, enough," she told him. She waited for his hands to release her. Now Lysha wasn't feeling well. "Miku, stop! You're hurting me!" she screamed. Miku's hands were suddenly off of her and his head was up.

Lysha stood and swayed. She could do nothing as she felt her body and eyelips drift towards the floor.

"Ly, NO!" Miku shouted. He was on the ground, holding her unconsious body in his arms. "I should have never bit you!" What have I done?

Her breathing was fast and her heartbeat was faster than normal. He looked at his hands, they were covered in her blood. Miku applied a light yet steady pressure to the puncture marks he had left. Stop! Stop bleeding Lysha. You have to stop bleeding! The blood finally ceased to flow.

He cradled her in his arms as he sprinted to the bathroom. Miku set Lysha gently on the floor and threw her medicine cabinet doors open, breaking them off the hinges. He threw the doors into the bathtub along with everything he began to toss out. His hands finally came upon the gauze he was looking for.

"It's going to be okay Ly," he whispered for his own comfort. Miku sat on the floor next to her and began to fashion a bandage. He bunched a wad of gauze against the fang wounds and wrapped her neck in more gauze.

I am such a monster!! he screamed in his mind. To hurt the one I love the most! He sat with her in his lap for a minute before picking her up and taking her to their bed. After he put her under the blanket, he went into the living room.

"Why did I bite her in the first place?" He punched the wall, breaking a hole in it. "Ugh!" He hit the wall again, making another hole. Miku sat in a corner of the room and bit his right hand, ripping his fangs through the skin. He took his mouth off his hand and unsheathed his claws, dragging them across the wall.

So I decided that a vampire love story was a little out of the question (Okay, WAY out of the question) unless I found a way to add new insight to my vampire world.

If it incorperates anything from anyone (i worked hard to be sure it didn't) , it would be the anime, Vampire Knight.

If it sounds anything like Twilight, please let me know how. I will try and take that out of the story.

Please do not say it sounds like Twilight just because it has a vampire in it. I can name tons of books with vampires in them, although I haven't read them.

This is about a fifth of the first chapter(if it can be a chapter in the end) so I'll post more when I get more written.
