Question for global warming nutjobs only: Do people awkwardly stop laughing and talking when you walk up?

I’ll tell you what – why not take a rational and objective look at the two sides of the global warming debate. Apply some intelligence and objectivity and observe which side uses hard facts and evidence and which side is based almost entirely upon propaganda, lies and politics. You’ll know then which side the majority of the public are laughing at.

It never ceases to amaze just how many questions the skeptics can ask and answer without touching on the subject of global warming. Many sensible persons would conclude that it’s because they don’t have the first clue about the subject and have to avoid it. Not that that prevents them asking puerile questions that contribute absolutely nothing of worth and seeks only to ridicule and pour scorn on those whom they disagree with. Very clever and mature, I must say.

You'd be amazed, the nutjobs turn up everywhere. At work recently a girl I have many intellectual conversations with and respect suddenly expressed belief for the global warming religion, when I laughed she almost called me a denier but managed to stop herself, but after I stated a few realities she suddenly wanted to change the subject. I know it's crazy but there are actually a few intelligent people who have bought the lie hook, line and sinker, which is sad to see. Thankfully belief in this religion is now at an all time low and it doesn't stop her from being a very fit chick.

Of course, to Pindar, does it bother you at all that there is nearly a 1:1 correlation between a country's scientific/mathematical literacy and their perception that there is anthropogenic warming?

Personally, I would be concerned, since the US is below international standards in all measures of scientific literacy (We're #36! We're #36!). And it appears that as our international ranking goes down, so does our "belief" in man-made climate change.

But, nah, let's go with US Public Opinion - we all iz the smartest ones, yep!

Once they get out of their mother's basement, they sometimes do. It is a rare occasion when they do. They used to do it only on Ground Hog Day, but they are changing that to Al Gore's birthday (The day before April Fool's Day).

A lot of them come out on Halloween. They don't even have to buy masks to scare people.
