Why do people think that scientists with PhDs have more to offer than private sector scientists?

Just like PhD's in music don't seem to advance the art, PhDs in the sciences aren't the main thrust of advances in science.

And they call US the deniers.

Not only is global warming hysteria causing economies to collapse, it is diverting attention from REAL environmental problems which will REALLY harm the environment.

The headline or two will quickly fade from this event and the media will still be talking about the global cooling that global warming has caused.

Just wondering.

In Climategate we had scientists caught red handed fudging data and manipulating charts to hide temperature declines, while in Clitanic we had similarly inept scientists who foolishly believed the Climategate guys that the planet is warming.

In the Climategate case we have obvious fraud.

In the Clitanic adventure we have over-the-top buffoonery.

Which does more to discredit them and spoils their agenda of shutting down the fossil fuel industry?

Reviewing my tree-ring data reveals that, as temperatures climb, record cold and snow will become common. Record cold and ice sheet growth in Antarctica was something that we knew would happen all along. And that recovery of sea ice up north?--Knew it was coming.

I think Dook would agree that all this cold fits the pattern of an out-of-control warming trend. He is the only one here who has the science background to understand this.

OK, I'm diving off Grand Cayman. We are going down the cliff enjoying creation when suddenly I realize I'm feeling really warm. It gets worse and worse. In my 51 years as a woman I've never felt anything quite like it.

How could that happen. There is a mechanism that we simply don't understand, I guess.

Will they double down on dire predictions and increase their confidence level that we are about to hit the "tipping point"? Will they blame the cold winter on global warming like they did last year and claim that their models predicted it?

OR, is it possible that a cold winter will be tipping point that puts the whole AGW thing to rest?

We've got computer models that diverge from observation as soon as they're cast.

We've got cooling temperatures.

We've got growing ice sheets.

Record snowfalls over continental sized areas.

We have "scientists" who are totally clueless wrt statistical methods and data collection.

If only the planet WERE warming.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if the Earth were heating up to the productive and comfortable temperatures from 1000 years ago?

Are you relieved that things have landed in the 5% area of the 95-5% confidence level of your predictions even though it makes you guys look kinda silly?

Does the fact that it has turned into a big "Never Mind" thing embarrass you?

If so, do you think we should take political action to restore global warming to its rightfully destined path?
